* One win I am also VERY proud of - Riley being awarded Reserve Winnersto a 5 point major from the 6 to under 9 month puppy class under Mrs. Stephanie Hedgepath at the AMTC District 4 Specialty August 31st in Lexington, KY during our 2023 National week of events! This was only his 3rd time in the show ring and the standard manchester terrier entries were outstanding representatives of the breed! Total Entry: 7-14-14-16-4 I am very pleased with what Riley has accomplished since he started being shown in the breed ring. He may have ended up with a good number of single points before he was awarded his two 5 point majors in Kentucky but this boy loves to show so I'd enter him wherever I could in shows with a possible point or two that were within two to four hours from home. Major points toward an AKC championship in this area of the country are difficult to come by and unfortunately there are not many standard manchesters around here like there were in days gone by so a bit of traveling was necessary to find majors. The Louisville and Lexington, KY shows are THE cluster shows to enter when looking for major points. Those shows are a good 10 hour drive with 'pit stops' for me but well worth it plus it's wonderful to see so many beautiful manchesters and manchester people in one place at the same time! |
